Health Alliance started using Exact Target and then Mailchimp to bring our emails up to speed over the last year. A good portion of that has fallen to me.
I designed our emails’ initial aesthetic style, and now that we’ve established our responsive code base, I’ve been customizing the design and the code, as well as writing the content, for all the emails we’re sending out of both tools. I try to focus our emails on speed and creating a consistent product that looks good across email clients, and when I get the chance, to make something beautiful, eye-catching, and interesting.
Our emails’ open rates now average above 25%, well above industry standards for insurance companies.
